  • The rapid growth of population in Serang City is caused by Serang as the capital of Banten Province has its own attraction from urbanists and also residents from other provinces and cities. Population growth is certainly directly proportional to the increase of movement of goods and people. This leads to significant vehicle current growth. In the end in developing the concept of transport demand management (TDM), the most effective step is to bring the urban community to use public transportation mode. These strategies are grouped into four major groups based on the characteristics of each strategy. The following are the names of the groups of strategies such as Improve Transport Options, Incentives, Parking and Land Use Management and Policy And Institutional Reforms. In this study, researchers focused solely on determining an effective Improve Transport Options based TDM strategy according to Serang city conditions. The method used to select the TDM starategi in Serang City is the ranking method. The data were obtained based on the questionnaire of 5 respondents who were considered to understand and take the transportation policy in Serang City. Data processing is done with the help of Microsoft Excel program with the result of Telework and Ride Sharing occupying the top rank as the right strategy to be applied, and the program is in accordance with the characteristics in Serang City. Based on the simulation (modeling) it will be seen or how effective the execution of a TDM strategy according to existing sources with the pesosis scenario, that is the scenario with the condition as it is as it develops now. So based on the Analysis, the implementation of Telework and Ride Sharing in reducing congestion in the city of Serang is probably 5.04% - 21.48% of people who are working with Telework and Ride Sharing.
