  • PT. Krakatau Wajatama is firms engaged in manufacturing, producing steel, one of the products is steel profile, that products are IWF 150, IWF 250, IWF 200, IWF 300, L100, and U200. The raw material used is bloom. Type of production flow of the steelmaking process is flowshop with 9 engines. In 2014, the production amount is decreased about 128.867,02 ton, from a total capacity of 150.000 ton. With a production volume decreased significantly by 85% compared to the available capacity. The order of processing of the product use conventional methods, thereby minimizing makespan can shorten the completion time of all jobs that have an impact on the utility value, so it achieve the production target and increase production capacity. The purpose of this research is to determine the order of the best job so that we could get the minimum makespan with the CDS and NEH Method and to know the makespan value along with the maximum utility value.. Based on the data processing, it obtained makespan and utilities for existing companies is 1400.65 hours and 20.52%., CDS method is 1259.97 hours and 22.81%, and the NEH method is 1259.97 hours and 22.81% and the order or sequence is 3-2-6-1-4-5 or starting from the product IWF200, then IWF250, then U200, then IWF150, then IWF300, and the last job is L100.
