- This research aimed to observe the influence of cooperative learning model time token type towards communication ability (oral and written) and students’ response towards time token cooperative learning model of class VII towards environment pollution concept. The method used quasy experiment with randomize control group posttest only research design. This research was held in SMP Negeri 1 Serang class VII 2nd semester academic year of 2016/2017. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random sampling with class 7G as experiment class which time token was implemented and class 7H as control class. Students’ oral communication ability on experiment class with good category (67.19 %), control class with fair category (58.9 %) and students written communication on experiment class with good category (67.86 %) and on control class with fair category (56.64 %). The result of hypothesis test analysis by using t test on significant level α = 0.05, significance value result was (0.003) < 0.05 Ho rejected for oral communication ability and significance value result was (0.000) < 0.05 Ho rejected for written communication ability, therefore it can be concluded that there was influence of cooperative learning model time token type towards communication ability of class 7 students of SMP Negeri 1 Serang on environment pollution concept. The students’ response on cooperative learning model time token type obtained by percentage of 83.11 with good category.
