  • ANNISYA AMALIA TRIANANDA (2017). The Uses of Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) Learning Model in Improve Mathematical Problem Solving Skills and Student Learning Motivation. Thesis Department of Mathematics Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Serang. 2017. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the achievement and improvement of problem solving ability of mathematical students who get the learning model with Means- Ends Analysis (MEA) model is better than the achievement and improvement of problem solving ability of mathematical students who get the ordinary learning model. The study was conducted by using quasi-experimental method. The research design used is non equivalent control group design. The population in this study is all students of class VII SMP Negeri 14 Serang City academic year 2016/2017. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique by way of drawing, which will result in two groups of classes, namely experimental class that obtains learning with Means-Ends Analysis learning model and control class that get regular learning. The instruments used were mathematical problem solving skills test and non-test learning motivation scale. The result of the research concludes that: (1) The final achievement of the mathematical problem solving ability of the students who are given the Means-Ends Analysis learning model is better than the students who are given the usual learning model, (2) the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving ability which is given the Means-Ends Analysis (3) The final achievement of students 'learning motivation with the Means-Ends Analysis model is better than the students who are given the usual learning model, and (4) the improvement of students' learning motivation which is given the learning model of Means- Ends Analysis is better than students who are given the usual learning model.
