- This study aims to describe the description of peer social support and achievement motivation, to find out whether there is or no relationship of peer social support and achievement motivation of class XI students at SMAN 3 Cilegon, and to know the implications for a personal social guidance program. The hypothesis proposed in this study is Ha, namely there is a relationship of peer social support and achievement motivation of class XI students at SMAN 3 Cilegon and H0 there is no relationship between peer social support and achievement motivation of class XI students at SMAN 3 Cilegon. The number of research subjects was 151 respondents through simple random sampling. Data is processed using SPSS version 20. Based on research it is known that the description of peer social support class XI at SMAN 3 Cilegon namely: when sad friends do not ignore, when successful friends always care, friends are willing to provide assistance when trouble, and when there are differences in social status not stay away. For the results of the description of achievement motivation of class XI students at SMAN 3 Cilegon, namely: students are enthusiastic in achieving achievements, students study hard, and students are serious in doing assignments. Based on the results of the regression test obtained sig (2-tailed) data obtained results of 0,000 <0,05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the hypothesis test obtained a correlation coefficient (r) obtained at 0.423 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.01). This means that there is a significant positive relationship of peer social support and achievement motivation of class XI students at SMAN 3 Cilegon. the effective contribution of peer social support variables to achievement motivation variables was 17.9%. The implications of the research that has been carried out are in the form of a personal social guidance program that can be used as an effort to increase student achievement motivation.
