- The purpose of the research is to determine the the effectiveness of the use of media video animated of understanding of the student in the material spirit and a national commitment to srengthen the unity of the country of the republic indonesia (NKRI) on learning pancasila and civic education. The research method used in this research is Quasi Eksperimen method and the research design used is The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample used in this research is class VIII F as experiment class and class VIII D as control class. Data collection techniques used in this study is a test of pretest and posstest. While the data analysis technique used to analyze the data of research result is t test and effectiveness test (effect size). The results showed that based on the calculation of t test obtained t count = 4.996 and t table = 1.671. Because t count > t table then it can be concluded that there is difference learners learn result between experiment class and control class. The experimental class learning result has an average value of 82,89 while the control class is 69,60. This shows that the experimental class learning outcomes are better than the control class learning outcomes. Based on the results of calculations effectiveness test obtained that the effectiveness of audio visual media into the classification high, because the value of the effect size of 0.83 and classification effect size by Cohen states if d > 0.8 then have a high classification. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that animation video media is effective towards students' understanding of spirit material and national commitment to strengthen the Republic of Indonesia in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education.
