- This research is motivated due to the difficulties of the students in understanding the material science subjects "Physical Environmental Change". This is evident from the low student learning outcomes done by the class teacher at the time prasiklus or observation that is only reached 69.31 substandard KKM. The purpose of this study were (1) Improve the learning outcome of students after learning process by applying the model of Problem Based Learning. (2) Improve the activity of learners in the learning process with a model of Problem Based Learning. The method used in this study is the classroom action research, which is collaborative with 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. These results indicate that the results of the first cycle of learning at 83.97 with the percentage of students who reached KKM 75,86%, the second cycle of 84,66 with the percentage of students who achieve 100% KKM. At the student activity with the model Problem Based Learning first cycle of 63,6% and the second cycle of 97,7%. Based on the results of this study concluded that the Problem Based Learning model can improve every student learning outcomes and student activity in the classroom learning process increased in each cycle.
