- This study aims to determine student learning outcomes through learning with group investigation model of the plant network structure subconcepts class VIII SMP PGRI 400 Tangerang . The method used in this research is descriptive using objective test questions , questionnaires and observation sheet as an instrument . The research was conducted in SMP PGRI 400 Tangerang VIII class first semester of the school year 2014/2015 . The sample used in this study were students of class VIII E. sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling . According to the research results of the correlation analysis , explaining the value of a coefficient of 0.423 means that there is a fairly strong relationship between learning activities with students' cognitive abilities . Based on the value of the coefficient of determination , student learning activities contributed 20.4 % to the cognitive abilities of students in SMP PGRI 400 Tangerang , while 79.6 % are influenced by other factors .
