- Marine radar is a mobile radar station used on board a marine vessel that serves as a marine waters control system. One of the main components of the radar system is the antenna. On a radar system an antenna is required that has a high gain. One way to get the antenna criterion is to design the arrayed microstrip antenna. So in this thesis will be designed microstrip antenna arranged (array) to 8 elements with the working frequency generated 3.2 GHz. Simulation results show that with the addition of the number of elements can increase the gain. The result of antenna measurement of 8 element microstrip array shows best working frequency obtained at 3.3 GHz with return loss -39 dB and VSWR 1.02.
