- Synthesis of TiO2 in nanotubes form supported on zeolite from Bayah and its effect in degradation of phenol wastewater has been conducted. The synthesis was carried out by two stages: the formation of titania nanotubes (TNTs) by hydrothermal method for 12 hours, and the addition of natural zeolite on TNTs photocatalyst. Zeolite with acid activation is used to support TNTs. The addition of natural zeolite to TNT using impregnation method. The purpose of this research that utilizes natural zeolite Bayah as TNTs support to the degradation of phenol wastewater, knowing the effect of: catalyst loading, photon source, and initial phenol concentration. This study has been conducted activation test of zeolite, TNTs- Zeolite composite, characterization test of surface area using BET method, to determine the crystal structure using XRD, SEM and EDX to determine the crystal morphology. The experimental result that the BET analysis of TNTs-Zeolite is 250 m2/g, TNTs-Zeolite composite is able to degradation of phenol wastewater about 96,69% with sunlight irradiation and 1,5 g/l catalyst loading.
