- Panjang Island is an island that is located in Banten Bay. This island is a part of a district in Serang. But there is only one mode of transportation that can bring us there, it is the pioneer ship. This caused the increasing need for more pioneer ships because it is not enough to serve the passengers. Therefore it is very important to know how is the condition of the pioneer ships that are operating and the level of customer satisfaction towards pioneer ships in the area. This research will use field survey method by observing while aboard to evaluate the condition of the pioneer ship which will be compared with Permenhub. 39 of year 2015 on minimum service standards of Pioneer Ships, and Distribution of Questionnaires about Condition of Pioneer Ship Services directly to passengers with ServQual (Service Quality) and S.W.O.T Methods to obtain some recommendations that will be used to improve the performance of pioneer ships. The direct observation of Overall perception and level of service user satisfaction of pioneer ship service still need to be improved and isn’t like evaluate the condition of the pioneer ship 39 of year 2015 . it can be seen from the value of GAP which is less than zero. Meanwhile, from S.W.O.T method, the strategy from SO1 Officer WO1 Increased the number of ship crews, ST1 provided information of natural conditions and WT1 has been doing routine check of ship condition.
