  • Cilegon City Social Department is part of regional autonomy in social sector. The problems of Social Department are organizational formation not to be based on actual needs, tasks which are not balanced with the ability of employees, and the Civil Servants not referring to the needs of the organization. The purposes of study are to measure workload rate of the Civil Servants in Cilegon City Social Department, to measure work stess rate of the Civil Servants in Cilegon City Social Department, to knowing the correlation between factors which causing work stress of the Civil Servants in Cilegon City Social Department and to determine the number of Civil Servants needed in each part in Cilegon City Social Department. This study is using workload analysis according to Permendagri number 12 in 2008 and job stress kuesioner HSE. The results of study are the number of employees which have very high workload rate are 7 people, high 3 people, medium 2 people and very low 20 people. The employees which have high job stress are 7 people, medium 5 people and low 20 people. Based on the results of correlation test with Kendall Tau test, there is a relationship between workload with job stress. The are no relationship between age, sex, education level, and job mass with job stress. There are relationship between workload, job demands, self-control, boss support, peer support, employment relations, job roles, and job changes with job stress. The number of Civil Servants required in the Secretary Department 11 people, the Empowerment and Social Institution 5 people, the Social Assistance and Social Security sector 5 people, and Service and Rehabilitation Sector 6 people.
