- Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency is one of the Cilegon area device that has a duty of disaster mitigation effort . The problems are the uneven workload in each unit and distribution of employees not referring to the real needs of the organization which can cause work stress. The purposes of the study are to measure rate of employee workload, measure rate of employee stress, to knowing the correlation between the workload with work stress, to knowing correlation between work stress with work stress causative factors and to determine the number of employee needed. This research method using Permendagri number 12 in 2008 and NIOSH Generic Job Stress Questionnaire. The results of study are the number of employees which have very high workload 7 people, high 2 people, and very low 20 people. The employees which have work stress 9 people, and not stress 10 people. Based on the results there is a no relationship between gender, age, number of children, work period, noises, temperature, ventilation, uncertainty work, responsibility to the other workers and activities outside of work and there is relationship between workload with the method of Permendagri, personality type A, self-assessment, the lighting, role conflict, role ambiguity, interpersonal conflict, lack of control, lack of employment opportunities, the amont of workload, the variation of the workload, capabilities that are not used, mental demands and sosial support with work stress. Number of employees required in the Secretary Department 9 people, the Prevention and preparedness sector 3 people, the Emergency and logistical sector 5 people and the reconstruction and rehabilitation sector 3 people.
