- This study aims to determine the impact of corruption and macroeconomic variables including foreign direct investment, labor and technological progress on economic growth in the Southeast Asian nation. Determination of the sample is based on a combination of the 2009-2017 annual time series and cross sections in 9 Southeast Asian Countries. The corruption variable is obtained from Transparency International, while the variable for foreign direct investment, labor and economic growth that is used is obtained from the World Bank, for the variable technology advances are obtained from the International Labor Organization. This research uses panel data analysis method with the Random Effect model. Based on the results of the simultaneous test (F-Test), it shows that corruption, foreign direct investment, labor and technological advances simultaneously influence the economic growth in the Southeast Asian Countries for the period 2009-2017. While the partial test results (T-Test) indicate that the variables of corruption, foreign direct investment and technological advances have a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while the workforce has no influence and is not significant on economic growth in the Southeast Asian Countries.
