- Chrysanthemum flower is one of the most superior flowers in the world market because it has long-lasting freshness and varieties of diverse flowers. Cultivation of cut chrysanthemum flowers should be done by skilled human resources in cultivation, maintenance, harvest and post-harvest due to the chrysanthemum is the type of flower introduction outside the original habitat so that it has a high enough risk than another types of ornamental plants. Kawungluwuk Village is one of the villages in Cianjur Regency which do farming cut chrysanthemum commodity. Farmers in Kawungluwuk Village experienced fluctuations in production over the past 4 years indicating a risk in cut flower chrysanthemum farming. The aim of this research is to analyze the risk production of cut flower chrysanthemum farming and to determine strategies for risk management. This research use survey method and the data use primary and secondary data. Respondent determined by census as many as 30 farmers. The risk analysis use calculating the value of expected return, variance, standard deviation and coefficient variation. The results show that the value of coefficient variation of 0,048 on spray type chrysanthemum and 0,045 on standard type chrysanthemum flowers. This value indicates that spray type chrysanthemum production has greater production risk compared to standard type chrysanthemum flowers. Each chrysanthemum unit produce by farmers in Kawungluwuk village carries a risk of 0.048 binds for spray type chrysanthemum and 0.045 binds to standard type chrysanthemum. This is caused by pest and disease attacks that attack more spray type chrysanthemum than the standard type.
