- One of the items imported by Indonesia is Motor Vehicles and its components. The purpose of this study is to find out the variables that affect the import of motor vehicles and their components in Indonesia from 1988 to 2017, namely gross domestic product (GDP), US dollar exchange rate, world oil prices, credit interest rates and the economic crisis, both simultaneous or partial to. By using multiple linear regression analysis the results are concluded that gross domestic product (GDP), dollar exchange rate, world oil prices, credit interest rates and economic crisis simultaneously influence the import value of motor vehicles and components in Indonesia from 1988 to 2017. Partially , gross domestic product, the dollar exchange rate and price of world oil prices affect the import value of motor vehicles and their components, while the variable interest rates and the economic crisis have insignificant effect on imports of motor vehicles and components in Indonesia.
