- GHULAM ABDUL MATIEN. 2019. The Subtitution of Soy Bean Meal with Fermented Rice Bran in Feed to Increase Growth of Catfish (Clarias sp.). Supervised by ACHMAD NOERKHAERIN PUTRA and MAS BAYU SYAMSUNARNO. The high price of raw material feed such as soy bean meal becomes the biggest challenge in catfish culture. Fermented rice bran can be an alternative feed raw material because of the low price, high nutritional value and abundant stock. The purpose of this research is to determine the best percentage of fermented rice bran as replace of soy bean meal in feed to increase growth of catfish (Clarias sp.). This research was conducted from August to November 2018 in Balai Benih Ikan Baros Serang. The used fish has an average weight 4.89±0.05 g with stocking density of 15 fish/40 L. The fish were reared for 45 days with at satiation feeding method. This research used three treatments of subtitution (0 %, 15 %, 35 % and 50 %) with four replications. The result showed that substitution of fermented rice bran 15 % can improve the value of protein retention, protein efficiency ratio and specific growth rate in the amount of 36.15±1.88 %, 2.79±0.15 % and 2.62±0.08 % respectively.
