- Drought Analysis Using Theory of Run Method Case Study Ciujung Watershed Sulastri Oktaviani ABSTRACT Geographical location between two continents and two oceans and also in the equator line is a climatological factor that cause floods and droughts in Indonesia. Drought is a measurable parameter, as well as flood, especially meteorological drought that entirely caused by rain. The aim of this study is to conduct an analysis to determine drought’s level, duration, and pattern that could possibly happen in an area, so it can be used as an early warning of an upcoming and worse drought. The analyzed data is the data of rain frequency in a month for 17 years in 6 rain station in Ciunjung Watershed, i.e. Bojongmanik, Pamarayan, Pipitan, Cibeureum, Pasir Ona, dan Sampang Peundeuy. The used method is Theory of Run, with drought index calculation will be longest drought’s duration and highest drought’s number with a specific repeated period in an area. The results showed that, among all of the sixth rain station, Station Bojongmanik duration and deficit rainfall is the greatest. It has deficit of 1574 mm for about 20 years. In other side, Station Cibeureum has the smallest duration and deficit rainfall. It has deficit of 468 mm for about 20 years. From the calculation of the classification level of drought, it is concluded that Ciujung Watershed have normal wet conditions. Keywords: Analysis of Drought, Ciujung River, Theory of Run
