- This study aims to find out how the results of the application of cooperative learning model Guessing Toward the Abilityof understanding the concept of class III B students as experimental class and class III A as a control class that uses direct learning model on SD Panancanagan 3 academic year 2016/2017 on subjects of Social Sciences Especially in basic competencies 2.4 Knowing money. The research method used is quasi experiment with research design nonequivalent control group design. Based on the result of research, it shows that there is difference of concept comprehension ability between students using cooperative learning model Tebak Kata with students using direct learning learning model, can be seen from t-test of two parties that is 2.86 > 2.02, then HO rejected Ha be accepted. Ability to understand the concept between students using cooperative learning model Guess words better than students using direct learning model, can be seen from the test-t one party is 2.86> 1.68, then HO rejected Ha accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is a difference in the ability of conceptual understanding between students using cooperative learning model Guess Words with students using direct learning learning model.
