- This study aims to determine the implementation of the Learning Cycle model to improve the thinking skills of IPS subjects on the development of production technology, communication and transportation of the past and the present. The research method used is. With Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. Sampling was done by using Porposive Sampling technique. The sample in this research is class IVA as experiment class as many as 39 students and class IVB as control class as many as 39 student. Based on results of research seen from the right-side data posttest results is , then rejected and accepted. As for the gain test results obtained is , then rejected and accepted. Thus it can be concluded that improving student creative thinking ability in the experimental class is better than the students active thinking ability in the control class.
