- The era of the industrial revolution made problems in the agricultural sector so complex, in addition to land conversion, the other main problem in the agricultural sector was the diminishing labor in the agricultural sector due to stagnant regeneration. This research aims to analyze the perceptions of the young generation on employment in the agricultural sector. This type of research is included in the category of quantitative descriptive research using survey research methods. Respondents in this research were young generation based on the understanding of the United Nations, namely the age group 15-24 and obtained 99 respondents determined using incidental sampling on proportion, based on 6 villages in Panimbang Sub-District, Pandeglang District. The results of the research show that employment in the agricultural sector is not well and poorly perceived by the young generation. Based on the object of perception of employment in the agricultural sector, income from working in the agricultural sector is better perceived by the younger generation, compared to the role of regional development, business risk, and the convenience of working from the agricultural sector. The Chi-Square test results show that no differences in perceptions of respondents based on their characteristics, whether gender, education, work experience or ownership of agricultural land.
