- Tita Nurdiani, 2019. The Effect of the Time Pruning Shoots to Growth and Yield of Three Varieties of Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). Under Guidance Nurmayulis and Andi Apriany Fatmawaty. The research was aimed to know the effect of the time pruning shoots to growth and yield of three varieties of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). The research was conducted at Experimental Garden of Agricultural System Center for Food Crops and Horticultural Seed of Banten Province from Mei until September 2018. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design with three factors and three replications. The first factor was time of pruning buds wich consisted three levels namely P1: 10 Day After Planting, P2: 15 Day After Planting, and P3: 20 Day After Planting. The second factors was types of varieties wich consisted three levels namely V1: Bhaskara, V2: Pelita, and V3: Taruna. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits per plant, the weight of fruit per plant and stem diameters. The result showed that the pruning of shoots gave significant effect on the number of leaves 7 Day After Planting. Type of varieties gave significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits per plant, and the weight of fruit per plant. Type of varieties Pelita gave the average on the plant height parameters of 42 Day After Planting, number of leaves, number of fruits per plant, and weight of fruit per plant.
