  • Early childhood is a child who is in the age range 0-8 years where the rate of child development is growing very rapidly. A good opportunity to teach children social skills from an early age. So that children can interact and socialize with others and the surrounding environment. Social skills of group B children in PAUD Al- Ghofar Ciparasi Cikedal Pandeglang Banten is very low, this is seen from the behavior of children during the teaching and learning process of children still often act with their own volition or selfish, mastering the game equipment without sharing with peers . While in activities conducted in groups of children seem not able to socialize with friends in completing the work provided by the teacher. So it takes the application of social skills for children can interact with others and can form a character and have good social skills to develop achievements in the next life. This study aims to (1) knowing the process of applying the maze; and (2) find out the improvement of children's social skills through maze. The research method used is action research method with two cycles. Data obtained through observation methods, interviews, and documentation are analyzed through the data reduction phase, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of the research shows that (1) the phases of the process of applying Maze include the planning stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation / evaluation stage; And (2) improvement of social skill of children through Maze can be said successful, this is seen at pre-action percentage of social skill by 30%, and in cycle I increased equal to 71%, and in cycle II have significant increase equal to 83 %. The success criteria of action that has been agreed by researchers and collaborators that is equal to 65% thus the social skills of children aged 5-6 years old through Maze in PAUD Al-Ghofar can be said to work because it has exceeded the criteria that have been determined.
