  • This study aims to improve the activity and results of student learning on science subjects by using PAKEM approach. This research is done because of low student learning outcomes. Subjects in this study as many as 30 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, written test and documentation. While the instrument used for data collection is the test of student learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice questions and observation sheets. The results showed that the increase in activity and student learning outcomes. In cycle I the percentage of student activity reaches 60%, while in cycle II the percentage of student activity has increased to reach 85.71%. The percentage of students learning outcomes in the first cycle is 66.66% while the percentage of student learning outcomes in the second cycle has increased ie 86.66%. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the use of PAKEM approach can improve student's activity and learning outcomes in science subjects.
