  • Children gain a variety of motion experiences requiring nutritional intake. Healthy children will show optimal abilities of motorcycles. The reality of underweight children under five in sub-district of Serang reaches 3.27% and short children reaches 7.3%, whereas children are more than 2.25% .This reduces the concentration of children, influence the development of coordinated muscular control in motion activity. The aim of this research is to know the correlation of nutritional status with the gross motor development of 4-5 year old child in Serang subdistrict and the influence of nutritional status toward the children's gross motor development. This research uses correlation study with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used is multi stage sampling which is cluster sampling, proportional sampling, and random sampling technique with samples of 54 children aged 4-5 years. Data collection techniques through measurement and direct observation. nutrition using weight measurement / body weight (BB / TB), and rough motor development variable using observation guidance instrument. Data analysis technique using Spearman Rank bivariate analysis ( . The results showed the correlation coefficient between nutritional status with gross motor development of ( 0.757. Hypothesis testing obtained t count equal to 8.352> t table of 2,00665 and obtained the coefficient of determination of 0.573.Sehingga it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between nutritional status and gross motor development of children aged 4-5 years in District Serang. Great influence given the nutritional status of gross motor development of 57.3%. It is expected that teachers and parents can bersinergis so that children achieve optimal growth and development.
