  • The research aims to find out the relationship between conceptual understanding with students' critical thinking ability through Cooperative Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model. The research was applied to fourth grade students of SDN Karundang 2 Cipocok Jaya Serang. In this research used descriptive method with quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were students of grade IV-B SDN Karundang 2, which amounted to 27 students. Technique of collecting data by using test. The test is used to measure students' understanding and critical thinking skills. Based on the results of the study there can be a significant positive correlation between conceptual understanding with students' critical thinking skills of class IV-B on the subject of natural resources in SD Negeri Karundang 2 Serang. The result of students 'critical thinking ability that is influenced by students' concept understanding is strong with the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.724. The coefficient of determination obtained by = 0.524 means that 52.4% of students 'critical thinking ability contributes to students' conceptual understanding. And it turns tcount bigger than ttable or 5,269 at level 5%. Hence the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Means there is a significant correlation between conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills of fourth graders in SD Negeri Karundang 2 Serang.
