  • ABSTRACT INCREASING STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN SOCIAL STUDY BY APPLYING COOPERATIVE TYPE GUIDED TEACHING ON STUDENTS CLASS VI Yeti Karlina Wati 2227102766 The main problem of this research was the founding of the process of social study in SDN Pasir Gadung 2 grade VI was the teacher does not use variatif method. The teacher only focus on the book so that the students activity only write and it can makethe students pasive. This condition impact to the activity and the result of the outcomes low. The purpose of this researchis to increase students achievement on social study subject by applying cooperative Guided Teaching type model so that the students learning activity can be incrase. The subject of this research 36 students in class VI SDN Pasir Gadung 2,Cikupa, Kabupaten Tangerang. The research methode that applied were class action research (CAR) that conduct for two cycle according to spiral groove from Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. The data collection of the research are used the result of the students achievement, and the observation teacher between an students. The result of the research can be conclude that average of students pre-cycle test were 61,13 with the minimum criteria 53%. On the first cycle was conducted on September, 3 i rd 2014 showed the average of students achievement were 69,02 with the minimum criteria 72,22%, the target were 80% with the average were 75. It the conclude that the first cycle were not suitable with the achievement indicator. On the second cycle was conducted on September 10 th 2014 showed the average of students achievement increased with the average 80,97 with the completeness criteria 89% it means that the indicator of the achievement were incrased. Beside that, the average of students activities was increased from first cycle to second cycle, the average of students achievement in the first cycle were 70%, in the second cycle the achievement tobe 94%, the achievement of indicator were increased as it has been set at 80%. It can be conclude that learning by using cooperative Guided Teaching type could increase students achievement as the result of the second cycle were significant.
