- ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of multimedia interactive B_SEM Flashto the cognitive abilities and motivation of students to the concept of the system human excretion. The method used is the method of quasi- experimental. The study population is the entire nine grade students of SMAN 3 Kota Serang 2013/2014 with a sample of class IX IPA 1 as the experimental class and IX IPA 4 ascontrol class by cluster sampling technique. A cognitive ability was measured using the test objective data collection techniques used objective tests for measure cognitive abilities and a questionnaire for measure students' motivation. The results from cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class 77 (good) and the control class are 64 (enough). While the motivation of students in the experimental class 76 (good) and the control class 55 (fewer). Thus the influence of interactive multimedia flash B_SEM on students' cognitive abilities t count (2,480) > t table (1,667) and motivation of students t count (2,364) > t table (1,667) students of class XI IPA at SMAN 3 Serang.
