- The purpose of this research is to analyse the level of economic efficiency the use of factors of production in farming cayenne pepper, analyzing the influence of the use of factors of production to the production of the cayenne pepper, and analyze the magnitude of costs, revenues, and earnings of farming on cayenne pepper. The method used in this research is a survey method. Site selection research deliberately purposive in District Jiput, Pandeglang with consideration on the basis of District Jiput has the lowest productivity compared to District Pulosari and Cipeucang on the same acreage. The sample used was the whole of the population numbers as many as 33 people and techniques of determining respondents conducted by the method of census. The variables examined included number of trees, seeds, manure, fertilizer NPK, and labor. Analysis tool used was Cobb Douglas production function. The value of Fcount (98,466) > Ftable (3.78) significance level 10% (α = 0.01) shows that simultaneous production factors examined very real effect on the production of the cayenne pepper. Factors of production only partially the amount of trees and an influential real labor against the production of cayenne pepper because the value of tcount the number of trees (1,737) and labor (9,083) > ttable (1,703). Economic efficiency test results show that the use of all factors of production in farming cayenne pepper in District Jiput, Pandeglang Regency is not efficient, the value of the marginal product (NPM) at a price of inputs (Pxi) has a value of < 1.
