  • Experiments on the type of cooling is necessary, because the use of cooling water should have a quality that is able to protect the parts of the radiator to prevent damage . This study aimed to quantify the effectiveness of the cooling water with some variations in the type of coolant . In this study conducted experiments on testing of some types of coolant on innova engine test equipment , and analyze the effectiveness by comparing the cooling water that is with some brands of coolant and water . From the test results , the highest value in testing the effectiveness of radiator coolant type I reached 57.6 % with a decrease in coolant temperature reaches 3,20C , testing the effectiveness of the coolant radiator type II is 55.4 % , and the lowest effectiveness reached 54.4 % in the test water .
