- ABSTRACT Aplication of Problem-based Leraning with Schoology Model to Increase Student’s Mathematical Problem Solving and Mathematical Habits of Mind DIAN KURNIASARI (2225101909) A Script of Mathematic Education Department, Faculty of Teacher and Science Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2010. Student’s mathematical problem solving ability and mathematical habits of mind is still low, this is due to implementation of the learning process is still a one-way and bored for students. The destination of this research is to compare student’s mathematical problem solving ability and mathematical habits of mind that get the problem-based learning with schoology model with the students that give conventional learning.The population on this research is al the social class of class two on MAN 2 Kota Serang, the sample on this research is social one class an social two class of eight grade on MAN 2 Kota Serang. The takning sample technique is use cluster sampling. Two class are selected by random to choose the experiment and control class. The experiment class got the problem-based learning with schoology model and control class got conventional learning with the ekspository method. The method of research used in this research is quasi eksperimental design with nonequivalient control graup design. Instrumen research used in this research are a mathematical problem solving test and mathematical habits of mind scale. Analysis data technique used in this research is Chi Square test to test the normality of data.The data is not normally distributed so the test of hypothesis used the Mann Whitney U-Test with approaches the normal curve. The result of hypothesis test gave the conclusion that mathematical problem sovling ability student’s that got problem-based learning with schoology model better than student’s that got conventional learning. Gain mathematical problem sovling ability student’s that got problem-based learning with schoology model better than student’s that got conventional learning. Mathematical habits of mind student’s that got problem-based learning with schoology model not better than student’s got conventional learning. Enchancement mathematical habits of mind student’s got problem-based learning with schoology model not better than student’s got conventional learning.
