- This study was conducted to examine the effect of career development and work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as intervening variable. This research uses quantitative research in accordance with the questionnaire and survey. Technique sample of data collection using method of saturated sample with 87 respondents. The method of analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression. SPSS Version 20 is a program used in this process and research. The results show that career development has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Shown by the result T arithmetic> T table (7.026 > 1,663), so H1 is accepted. Partially, work motivation does not positively affect job satisfaction. Shown by the result of T count <T table (1.357 <1.663), so H1 is rejected. Partially career development does not have a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance. This is shown by the results of T arithmetic <T table (-0.371 <1.663), so H1 is rejected. Partially, work motivation positively and significantly influence to employee performance. Shown by result of T count> T table (5,857> 1,663), so H1 accepted. Partially, job satisfaction positively affects employee performance. This is indicated by the result of T> T table (4.287> 1.663), so H1 is accepted.
