Shoot Initiation of Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) in Some Concentration of Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) and Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) In Vitro, guided by Moh Ana Syabana Amin and Susiyanti. This research was aimed to know shoot initiation of stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) in some concentration of Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) and Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) in vitro. This research was conducted from August to October, 2014 at the Biotechnology Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Serang, Banten. Research was arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was concentration of IBA with 3 levels namely I0 (0 mg/l), I1 (0,5 mg/l), I2 (1 mg/l) and the second factor was concentration of BAP with 3 levels namely B0 (0 mg/l), B1 (0,5 mg/l), B2 (1 mg/l). So, there were a total of 9 treatments combination which was repeated 3 times and it gave 27 experimental units. Results showed that treatments combination of IBA 0,5 mg/l with BAP 1 mg/l gave highest number of shoots (5 shoots) and IBA 1 mg/l with BAP 1 mg/l gave highest number of leaves (22 leaves). Medium without plant growth regulator gave best result in first appearance of shoot (4 days after planting) and shoots length (0,90 cm). Keywords: shoot initiation, stevia, growth regulator, in vitro
