  • This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership and extrinsic motivation on the employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable in Mitsuba Ltd. In this study there are four variables, such as Transformational Leadership ( ), Extrinsic Motivation ( ), Employee Performance (Y), and Job Satisfaction (Z). The population used in this study is 153 production division employees at Mitsuba Ltd in 2017. The sample of this study amounted to 60 employees out of 153 population using probability sampling method. The method used in this study is descriptive and Causality research. The analysis technique used in this research is Path Analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance (2) Extrinsic motivation has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance (3) ransformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction (4) Extrinsic motivation has a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction (5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance (6) Job satisfaction is able to mediate the relation between transformational leadership with performance employee (7) Job satisfaction is able to mediate the relation between extrinsic motivation with employee performance.
