- Land registration aims to provide legal certainty known as the Rechtskadater / Legal Cadaster . Land in Indonesia still remains but its use is increasing and makes the value of land prices also increase so that it often causes disputes. Mediation is a process of dispute resolution between two or more parties through negotiations or a method of consensus with the help of neutral parties (third parties) who do not have the authority to decide. One of the disputes is a land dispute between Rully M Fauzi and Mamih which is further completed by means of mediation which is set by the regulation of the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial/Head of national Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia number 11 year 2016 on land case resolution. This research method refers to the juridical empirical approach that is by looking at something legal reality in society . This type of research is descriptive analytical, which reveals laws and regulations relating to legal theories that are the object of research. This study uses secondary data which is supported by primary legal data. The results of this thesis are about the protection of land rights, certificates are legal evidence, so the certificate holder is the holder of a legitimate land right with the ownership of the land certificate, guaranteeing legal certainty. Legal protection for holders of land rights certificates has legal certainty. Indonesia adheres to a negative publication system that contains positive elements as long as it can be proven and not vice versa. The mechanism for resolving land boundary disputes through mediation has provided legal certainty with the results of deliberations and consensus. With the results of mediation where both parties agree, the results have become legal certainty and holders of land rights still receive protection.
