- This study discusses the political recruitment of regional head candidates in the Golkar Party South Tangerang City. The analysis of the recruitment model in this study uses Hazan and Rahat's recruitment theory with four indicators, namely (1). Candidacy; (2). The Selectorate; (3). Decentralized Candidate Selection Methods (4). Voting Systems and Appointment Systems. The indicator concludes two models, namely exclusive and inclusive. It relates to who is a candidate, who is involved in the selectors, and way to determine who wins as a candidate. The descriptive qualitative method was chosen because the researcher tried to uncover and describe the phenomenon of recruitment in the Golkar Party. The results of this study indicate that the model for recruiting candidates for regional heads in South Tangerang City by the Golkar Party in South Tangerang City is semi-exclusive. This is because the Golkar of South Tangerang City in the candidacy process is very exclusive because the candidates are carried only by people close to the party elite, the selected candidate selectors are also very exclusive, but semi-inclusive in the candidate selection process because of the results of the proposal from the Golkar Party South Tangerang City. But, it is exclusive in the process of determining candidates because the system used does not open registration but is entirely by direct appointment. Keyword : Recruitment, Mayoral, Golkar Party
