  • Fracture is a term that refers to a discontinuity of bone either totally or partially determined by its type and extent. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019 stated that fractures were increasing, with a fracture incidence of more than 15 million people with a prevalence rate of 3.2%. Based on data from RISKESDAS Banten Province in 2018, Femur fracture cases are cases that often occur, where these cases are caused by traffic accidents such as car or motorcycle accidents (65.6%) and falls (37.3%) among these cases. mostly experienced by men (73.8%). The fracture patient will experience some 1000 problems, one of which is acute pain. Acute pain must be treated immediately, therefore nurses have an important role in the management of acute pain. One of the actions that can be taken is management. This action is done when the patient comes to the hospital. This pain management action can be enjoyed by the patient. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the success of management in overcoming acute pain. The writing of this research uses descriptive research methods in the form of case studies with a nursing care approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. In this case study, there is a comparison of 2 patients with lower extremity femur fractures.
