- The law No. 1 of 1974 states marriage as an inner birth bond between men and women as husband and wife with the aim of forming a happy and eternal family based on the One Godhead. Marriage disputes cause the collapse of household libido which often ends in divorce. The purpose of this study was to determine parental intervention in child households which resulted in divorce and analyze the legal basis used by the Panel of Judges in divorce divorce cases Number 1403/Pdt.G/2018/ PA.Srg. This study uses maslah theory and the theory of justice with the type of normative juridical research approach. The study was conducted at the Serang Religious Court which is located at Jalan KH Abdul Hadi No. 29 Attack. This study uses primary data and secondary data from the literature review and interviews conducted at the court that handled the case. Data is analyzed using qualitative analysis with interactive models. Based on the results of the study note that parental intervention in the child's household which results in divorce according to the Compilation of Islamic Law, including in the form of syiqaq. In this case the cause is the parents' demands for excessive daughter-in-law's economic income. Parents intervene in their child's household problems which causes discomfort in the marriage of the child, resulting in divorce. The Panel of Judges of the Serang Religious Court uses a legal basis that refers to article 19 letter f of Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage in conjunction with article 116 letter (f) Compilation of Islamic Law with a type of Verstek ruling. The panel of judges considered the frequent disputes between the applicant and the respondent in the household and the intervention of the respondent's parents to grant the divorce request.
