- This study describes the impact of the existence of the State above the Clouds tourism on the socio-economic conditions of the community. The purpose of this study was to determine how the impact of tourism in the Country Above the Clouds on the socio-economic conditions of the people of Citorek Kidul Village, Cibeber District. The establishment of the State above the Clouds tourism cannot be separated from the unemployment that occurred in the surrounding community after the flash flood and the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Sources of data collected in the form of primary and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation techniques by taking the location of the Country Above the Clouds in Citorek Kidul Village, Cibeber District. The time of the research was carried out starting from September 2021-2022. The informants in this study amounted to 11 informants. The data were analyzed using a qualitative analysis of the interactive model. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the existence of State above the Clouds tourism has an impact on the socio-economic life of the surrounding community. The impact of tourism development on the socio-economic conditions of the people of Citorek Kidul Village has positive and negative impacts. These positive impacts include: 1) Opening up employment opportunities 2) Increasing people’s income 3) Preservation of local culture as a tourist attraction 4) Familiarity with local culture by foreign tourists 5) Decreasing numbers unemployment 6) The concruction of public facilities. While the negative impacts include: 1) Disruption of tranquility, the natural environment and culture of the local community 2) Increasingly limited agricultural land 3) Starting to fade the habits and traditional clothes by the younger generation 4) Affected by impolite language due to the intensity of interaction with tourists. With the existence of State above the Clouds tourism which is managed by the local community, it can reduce unemployment and increase the income of the people of Citorek Kidul Village.
