ANALISIS MISKONSEPSI SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA SMP KOTA TANGERANG TEMA PEMANASAN GLOBAL DENGAN METODE CRI (CERTAINTY OF RESPONSE INDEX)

- One problem that exists in the world of education during the learning process is misconceptions. Misconceptions are very likely to occur in various fields and subjects, not to rule out the possibility of science subjects. Science learning contains many concepts. Many students also encounter misconceptions about concepts. Students must be able to understand the concepts well to avoid misconceptions. The purpose of this study is to analyze how many students' misconceptions in science subjects of junior high school in Tangerang on the theme of global warming with the CRI method. The research method used is a mixed-method and the research instrument, namely multiple-choice questions sheets-combined with a CRI scale and interviews. The subjects of this study were 29 grade VII students at SMP Negeri 18 Tangerang, 30 grade VII students at SMP Negeri 24 Kota Tangerang, and 29 grade VII students at SMP Negeri 32 Kota Tangerang. From the research, a percentage of students' concept understanding was obtained in each question item with 42.27% understanding concepts, 26.70% not understanding concepts, and 31.02% being misconceptions. It was concluded that the misconceptions of grade VII junior high school students in Kota Tangerang on the theme of global warming were included in the category of moderate misconceptions which was 31.02%. The misconceptions that occur are caused by internal factors, namely students' understanding of the initial concept on the theme of global warming that they have, and external factors, namely the clarity of the textbook and other contexts such as the influence of discussion friends.
