- Acute Respiratory Infection (ISPA) is a disease that often occurs in children, this disease attacks one or more parts, from the respiratory tract from the nose to the alveoli including its parts (sinuses, middle ear cavity, pleura). One of the problems that often occurs is the problem of airway clearance disorders. The aim is to analyze the results of the implementation of nursing care with the intervention of providing inhalation therapy with steam and eucalyptus oil in children with ISPA on airway clearance. This scientific paper aims to provide an overview of nursing care for children with ISPA with nursing problems with airway clearance disorders. The nursing intervention carried out was inhalation therapy of water vapor and eucalyptus oil which was put into warm water as much as 5 drops then the child was asked to inhale from the water vapor that had been given eucalyptus oil for 15 minutes, and see the respiratory status, comfort children, secretions. The results of the evaluation showed that the nursing intervention of steam inhalation and eucalyptus oil was effective in overcoming airway clearance in children with ISPA.
