- Fever is the process of increasing body temperature up to > 37.5 ̊C. Fever is one of the clinical signs in patients suffering from typhoid fever. Typhoid fever is an acute infection that usually affects the gastrointestinal tract with symptoms of fever for more than one week with indigestion and impaired consciousness. Warm compress is a method of lowering body temperature. One type of warm compress is the Tepid Sponge, which is by compressing the part of the body that has large blood vessels. Tepid sponge is a combination of block and wiping technique. This technique uses block compresses not only in one place, but directly in several places that have large blood vessels. In addition, there is additional treatment, namely by providing swabs in several areas of the body therefore the treatment applied to clients in this technique will be more complex and complicated compared to other techniques. In the preparation of this scientific paper using the method of approach to care, and using data collection techniques, namely interview, observation, and physical examination. Key words : Typhoid fever, edge sponge, warm compress.
