  • Burns (combustio/burn) are injuries (injury) as a result of direct contact or exposure to sources of heat (thermal), electricity (electrict), chemicals (chemical), or (radiation) (M. Rahmad, Tisya 2019). Burns can also be defined as injuries that occur as a result of touching the body surface with objects that generate heat (fire, chemicals, electricity, or radiation) or flammable substances in the froms of strong acids and strong bases (Safriani, 2016). The leading causes of death from fires in and the united states is mainly from fires caused by cigarettes. The world health organization (WHO) estimates that 195,000 deaths per year are caused by burns from data every year in the united states approximately 2,5 million people experience burns , 100,000 patienst are hospitalized and 200,000 patients require outpatients treatment. Every year about 12,000 people die due to infection and inhalation injuries that occur due to burns. The research method and burn patients is to use secondary data because the data is taken from medical records the are already available. Data collection was carried out by recording the data in the medical records of patients treated at RSUD dr. Drajat Prawiranegara 2 February to March 2022 The data taken include (Patients with burns, Age, gender, leukocyte levels, electrolyte levels, creatinine levels, albumin levels, and hemoglobin levels) Keywords: Burns, Risk of Infection, Wound Care Measures
