ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN HIPERTERMIA PADA ANAK DHF DENGAN TINDAKAN WATER TAPID SPONGE DI RUANG FLAMBOYAN RSUD dr. DRADJAT PRAWIRANEGARA SERANG BANTEN

- DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) or commonly known by the Indonesian people as dengue fever is a disease that can make the patient's body temperature very high, generally accompanied by headaches, joint, muscle and bone pain, and if excessive heat causes seizures (Soedarto,2013). The purpose of this study was to determine the description of nursing care in DHF patients with hyperthermia with the action of water tapid sponge. Water Tapid Sponge is a warm compress technique that combines a compress technique on superficial blood vessels or body parts with a wiping technique. Descriptive research was conducted with a case study on the description of nursing care in two pediatric DHF patients with hyperthermia which included assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. The results showed that both patients had high fever. Implementation to lower body temperature so that its function is more optimal and effective by monitoring body temperature, monitoring complications due to hyperthermia, loosening clothes, covering patients, doing water tapid sponges. The problem of hyperthermia in patient 1 and patient 2 can be resolved on the fourth day of nursing care. The conclusion from the results of the nursing action of the water tapid sponge was proven to be effective. Keywords: DHF Child, Hyperthermia, Water Tapid Sponge, Nursing Care.
