  • Neonatorum asphyxia is one of the causes of neonatal death in the world because asphyxia itself is an emergency condition for newborns in which the baby cannot breathe spontaneously and regularly 1 minute after birth, so this situation can cause a decrease in O2 levels and increase CO2. The purpose of this study was to carry out Nursing Care for Ineffective Breathing Patterns in Asphyxiated Infants with Oxygen Administration in RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang. Case study research method is carried out by researchers with descriptive research type, which is a research method carried out with the aim of making a description or descriptive of a situation objectively. Interventions that can be done to restore breathing in infants are by giving oxygen which aims to maintain and meet oxygen needs. The results of the research that has been done obtained data on the first day of client 1 still seemed short of breath. On the second day the client still seemed short of breath. On the third day there was no change in the client's evaluation, still short of breath with very weak general condition, the client also had time to stop breathing and VTP was done, at around 19.00 pm the client died. In client 2, the evaluation on the first day appeared shortness of breath and flatulence. On the second day it still seemed tight and still bloated. On the third day the client still seems short of breath but the respiratory rate is approaching to improve. On the fourth day the client was no longer short of breath and was no longer bloated. The conclusion is that the ineffective breathing pattern for patients with asphyxia is very important, it is hoped that nurses can pay more attention to the patient's ineffective breathing pattern so that they can provide nursing actions as soon as possible.
