- Nursing care for children is the belief or view that nurses have in providing nursing services to children that focus on family (family centered care), prevention of trauma (atrumatic care), and case management. Bronchopneumonia is an inflammation of the localized lung parenchyma which usually affects the bronchioles and also the surrounding alveoli, which often afflicts children and toddlers, caused by various etiologies such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and foreign bodies. Most cases of pneumonia are caused by microorganisms, but there are also a number of non- infectious causes to consider. Bronchopneumonia is more often a secondary infection to various conditions that weaken the immune system but can also be a primary infection that we usually encounter in children and adults (Danusantoso, 2014). The purpose of this study was to carry out nursing care for ineffective airway clearance in children with bronchopneumonia with the collaborative action of administering a nebulizer at room flamboyan dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang. Case study research method is carried out by researchers with descriptive research type, which is a research method carried out with the aim of making a description or descriptive of a situation objectively. Interventions that can be done to maintain a patent airway in bronchopneumonia patients are ineffective airway clearance, namely collaboration with the administration of a nebulizer to eliminate secretion obstruction and improve bronchial hygiene. Results: the results of the study were obtained while nursing care was given, the problem of ineffective airway clearance could be resolved with the results of the implementation criteria having a response that showed the patient's progress. Conclusion: the ineffectiveness of airway clearance for patients with bronchopneumonia is very important, it is hoped that nurses can pay more attention to the patient's airway clearance so that they can provide nursing actions as soon as possible.
