  • Appendicitis is an inflammatory process due to infection of the appendix or appendix, also known as the appendix. This infection can lead to complications if you don't get surgery immediately for treatment. Invasive action in patients with appendicitis is a surgical process called appendectomy. Appendectomy is a surgical process where the appendix is cut so that it can open the body part to remove the inflamed appendix. Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience that is subjective due to tissue damage. The impact of postoperative pain will increase stress in postoperative patients and have a negative effect on pain relief. Assessment of pain and appropriateness of analgesics should be used to ensure that postoperative pain relief in the patient is possible. The purpose of the study was to carry out nursing care for security and comfort disorders (acute pain) in post-operative appendectomy patients and to find out how effective the Al-Fatihah murottal therapy was to reduce pain intensity. The research method uses a case study method with 2 (two) patients as respondents which was carried out in the range of January to June 2022 at the Banten Province General Hospital. The intervention carried out was providing murottal therapy of Surat Al-Fatihah in post-operative appendectomy patients. The intervention is carried out every 1 (one) time a day, and takes 11-15 minutes. This intervention proved to be effective with the result that pain complaints decreased from a scale of 6-7 (0-10) to a pain scale of 2 (0-10). In conclusion, the results of nursing care carried out by researchers are in line with previous research that the Al-Fatihah murottal therapy is effective in the process of reducing pain.
