- Head injury is a traumatic disorder of brain function with or without interstitial bleeding in the brain substance without being followed by interruption of brain continuity (Muttaqin, 2015) ineffective airway clearance, impaired ventilator weaning, impaired spontaneous ventilation, ineffective breathing pattern, risk of aspiration. Ineffective airway clearance is the inability to clear the secret or airway obstruction to maintain a patent airway. This research method uses a descriptive method conducted by the researcher in the form of a case study using two clients as respondents. The data collection methods in this study were observation, interviews, physical examination, and study documentation which were carried out from January to June 2022 at the Banten Provincial Hospital. Nursing care interventions were given for 3x24 in head injury patients to maintain the airway. Keywords: head injury emergency nursing care, ineffective airway clearance
