  • Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels caused by disturbances in insulin production, insulin sensitivity or both. Increased blood glucose if not handled properly will cause long-term damage and failure of various organs such as the eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart and blood vessels. So that in patients with hyperglycemia insulin therapy is needed to help lower blood glucose levels. Researchers used a descriptive method carried out by researchers in the form of a case study of 2 clients as respondents which was carried out from January to June 2022 at the Emergency Installation of the Banten Province Hospital. Nursing care was carried out for 3 days with one intervention of Hyperglycemia Management with Insulin Therapy. In conclusion, the results of nursing care carried out by researchers are in line with previous studies that insulin therapy is effective in lowering blood sugar levels.
