- This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning through model of cooperative learning type think, pair, and share. This research was conducted in SDN Kasemen Serang City on second semester 2014/2015 academic year, with the number of students in class III A total of 49 students. The method used in this research is a classroom action research method using a cycle of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Classroom action research conducted through the planning stages, class action / implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection was performed by using test instruments and nontes form of observation sheets and interviews. This research is pursued in two cycles each cycle consisting of two meetings. The results obtained from this study is the increased activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning using model of cooperative learning type think, pair, and share. The percentage completeness of students learning outcomes in the first cycle was 73.47% with the criteria of "Good (B)" and the results of observation the activity students gain an average of 65,05% with the criteria of "Good (B)". In the second cycle of student learning outcomes completeness percentage is 91.83% with the criteria of "Very Good (A)" and the result of observation the activity students gain an average of 92,24% with criteria of "Very Good (A)". Thus the use model of cooperative learning type think, pair, and share can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning in class III A SDN Kasemen.
